Now hiring full-time visiting professor in Aging Studies

The University of Indianapolis invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant or associate professor in Aging Studies in the Center for Aging & Community (CAC). Start date: Summer 2009.

CAC seeks an experienced educator and researcher to serve as faculty in the graduate and undergraduate Aging Studies programs and as a research and evaluation project team member for the Center’s contract and grant projects.

Responsibilities:

• Graduate and undergraduate teaching may include research methods and program evaluation as well as additional courses in the successful candidate’s area of specialization.
• Project management responsibilities may include qualitative and quantitative research for community-based projects and IRB submission, as well as all aspects of program evaluation and written reports.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral preparation in aging studies or a related field is preferred.
  
• Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for teaching nontraditional students in nontraditional formats (online and accelerated).
  
• Applicants also should have experience in community collaboration, community-based research, project management, and program evaluation.
